Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of busyproxy.net, our APIs, and the BusyProxy mobile application (the “Service”). BusyProxy is a service operated by Effirity SRL (“BusyProxy”, “we”, “us”), the company behind busyproxy.net. By creating an account, installing the app, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What BusyProxy is

BusyProxy lets consenting users share spare internet capacity (Wi‑Fi or mobile data) through a reverse tunnel. Authorized BusyProxy clients may route traffic through your device when you explicitly start sharing. You may earn rewards based on measured shared traffic, subject to these Terms and our payout rules.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live).
  • You must use only networks and devices you are authorized to share.
  • You must not use the Service where prohibited by law or carrier rules.
  • You must not use the Service, or receive payment, if you are located in or ordinarily resident in a country or territory subject to comprehensive sanctions, or if you are on an applicable sanctions list. We may refuse or reverse a payout on that basis.

3. Account & authentication

Accounts are created and accessed with a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email address, or to your mobile number by SMS if you choose the phone option and consent to texts. You are responsible for the security of your mailbox and phone and for activity under your account. You may delete your account at any time (in-app, dashboard, or account-deletion).

4. Text messages (SMS)

SMS is optional. You can create and use a BusyProxy account entirely with email, and we only text you if you tick the SMS consent box on the sign-in form and give us your number.

  • What we send: one-time passcodes for sign-in, account security alerts, and service notifications such as earnings and payout confirmations. Transactional only — we do not send marketing texts.
  • How often: message frequency varies; messages are sent in response to something you did.
  • Cost: Msg & data rates may apply. Your carrier's charges are between you and your carrier.
  • Stopping: reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email us. Opting out of SMS does not close your account — sign-in falls back to email.
  • Carrier liability: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Sharing & consent

  • Sharing starts only when you turn it on in the app.
  • A persistent notification is shown while sharing is active.
  • You choose network modes (Automatic, Wi‑Fi, or Mobile).
  • You can stop sharing at any time from the app or notification.

5.1 What your connection is used for

While sharing is on, authorized BusyProxy customers may route requests through your connection for market and pricing research, brand and counterfeit protection, ad verification, search-result and availability checking, and cybersecurity testing of systems the customer is authorized to test.

Customers are contractually forbidden from using your connection for unauthorized access, attacks, spam, fraud, or any illegal purpose. We do not log, inspect, or store the content of traffic that passes through your device — only the number of bytes, so that we can pay you.

5.2 Networks you may not share

Share only a connection you personally control. Do not share on:

  • an employer's or client's network
  • a school, university, or library network
  • a hotel, café, airport, or other public or guest Wi‑Fi
  • a hospital, government, or other restricted network
  • any connection whose terms forbid resale, tethering abuse, or third-party routing

Mobile data on a plan in your own name is fine. Home Wi‑Fi you pay for is fine.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Commit fraud, credential stuffing, spam, malware distribution, or phishing
  • Attack, scan, or overload networks without authorization
  • Circumvent security, rate limits, or abuse controls
  • Create multiple accounts to farm rewards or manipulate metrics
  • Expose an open unauthenticated proxy or re-sell access outside BusyProxy

We may suspend accounts, withhold payouts, or terminate access for abuse, fraud, or policy violations.

7. Earnings & withdrawals

  • Rates are shown in the app/website and may change with notice.
  • A minimum withdrawal threshold applies, shown in the app. We may offer several payout methods and may add or withdraw them; which are available to you depends on your country.
  • Your balance does not expire while your account is active. If an account is inactive for 24 months we may close it after writing to you at your registered email or phone, and any remaining balance below the minimum payout is forfeited.
  • Earnings are estimates until reconciled; we may adjust for metering errors, chargebacks, or fraud.
  • Taxes are your responsibility. We may require identity verification before payouts.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it. By using the Service you also acknowledge that policy.

9. Intellectual property

The Service, the BusyProxy branding, and the software are owned by Effirity SRL or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the app for personal, lawful participation as an earner.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee continuous availability, any particular earnings amount, or that your carrier will permit sharing on every plan.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BusyProxy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts we paid you in the 3 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, legal risk, or extended inactivity.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
