Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Effirity SRL — the company that operates BusyProxy (“BusyProxy”, “we”, “us”) — collects, uses, and shares information when you use busyproxy.net and the BusyProxy mobile app (the “Service”). Effirity SRL is the data controller for that information.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: phone number (E.164), display name, optional email, account status, creation and last login times.
- Authentication: one-time codes (hashed), session tokens (hashed), IP address and user-agent at login.
- Device & sharing: device id, platform, network mode (Wi‑Fi / mobile / automatic), online status, approximate public egress IP and coarse geo (country/city), session traffic counters (bytes up/down), agent connection state.
- Earnings & payouts: wallet balances, withdrawal requests, the crypto wallet address you choose to be paid to, and payout status. Payouts are executed by our stablecoin payments provider, which receives the destination address and the amount.
- Support: messages you send to support@busyproxy.net.
- Diagnostics: limited app and server logs needed to operate and secure the Service (no payload content of proxied traffic).
- Reinstall counter: an identifier for your handset that stays on the device when you uninstall the app — on iPhone a random value in the system keychain, on Android a one-way hash of the Android ID. We use it for one purpose: to tell whether a fresh install is a returning phone or a new one. It is not an advertising identifier, it is not shared with anyone, it cannot be read by other apps, and it identifies a device rather than a person. A factory reset clears it.
2. Data we do not collect
- We do not log the content of traffic that flows through your phone as an exit.
- We do not sell personal data to data brokers.
- We do not require access to your contacts, photos, or microphone.
- We do not use advertising identifiers (no IDFA, no Advertising ID) and do not track you across other apps or websites.
3. Why we use data
- Create and secure your account (OTP login)
- Operate reverse tunnels and measure shared bandwidth for rewards
- Show balances, history, and process withdrawals
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and open-proxy misuse
- Provide support and improve reliability
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms
4. Legal bases (where applicable)
Depending on your region, we process data under: contract (providing the Service), consent (optional disclosures / marketing if ever offered), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, product improvement), and legal obligation.
5. Sharing
- Processors: we use third-party providers for hosting, database, SMS delivery, email delivery and stablecoin payouts. We do not name our individual infrastructure suppliers on this page, because a published list of the components a service runs on is a map for anyone attacking it. That is a security decision, not a way of avoiding the disclosure: write to support@busyproxy.net and we will tell you exactly who processes your data and where. All processors act on Effirity SRL's instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Analytics (Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager): our website loads Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to count visits and see which pages people use. It sets cookies and sends your IP address and browsing activity on this site to Google. It runs on the website only — the BusyProxy mobile apps contain no analytics SDK. We do not use it to build advertising profiles and we do not link it to your account, your devices or your earnings.
- Bot protection (Google reCAPTCHA): our website sign-in and registration pages use Google reCAPTCHA v3 to tell real people apart from automated sign-up attempts, which is what stops your phone number being used in bulk SMS abuse. It runs only on those pages and only in a web browser — the BusyProxy mobile apps do not use reCAPTCHA and send nothing to Google for this purpose. On the website it sets cookies and sends your IP address, browser details and interaction signals to Google, which returns a score indicating how likely you are to be a real person. We receive only that score, never the underlying signals. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Google Terms of Service. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in preventing fraud and abuse of the sign-up flow. If you would rather not use it, you can register in the mobile app instead.
- Device and browser characteristics: on our website we collect technical characteristics of the device and browser you visit with — graphics and display capabilities, font metrics, supported media formats and available storage — through a third-party measurement provider, to distinguish real devices from automated traffic. We do not collect page content, form input or location, and this runs on the website only, never in the mobile apps. Visitors in the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are excluded.
- No sharing of mobile numbers for marketing: we do not sell your data, and phone numbers collected for SMS are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
- Operators / buyers: proxy clients receive network egress through your device when sharing is on; they do not receive your phone number or wallet details from the earner app.
- Law enforcement: when required by valid legal process.
6. Text messages (SMS)
SMS is optional and off unless you ask for it. You can create and use an account entirely with email; we only text you if you tick the SMS consent box on the sign-in form and provide a number.
- Texts we send are transactional: one-time passcodes, account security alerts, and service notifications such as earnings and payout confirmations. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Opting out stops the texts; sign-in continues to work by email.
- We keep your number to identify your account and to deliver these messages, and we pass it to our SMS provider only for that delivery.
7. Location
We work out an approximate location two ways, and neither involves tracking you.
- From your connection (always). When your device shares bandwidth, its public exit IP address resolves to a country and city. That is what buyers of the capacity see, and it is how we know where our network has coverage. No permission is involved and it works out to city level only.
- From your device (optional, only if you allow it). The first time you start sharing, the app may ask to read your approximate location once. We use it to confirm the country your payouts go to — payout accounts are locked to a country when they are created and cannot be changed afterwards, so a mismatch is worth catching before money moves.
For the optional check: the reading is taken once, never continuously, and the app turns it into a country and city on your device — only that country and city are sent to us. If your phone cannot do that lookup, it sends a position rounded to roughly a kilometre so our server can, and that position is discarded once the city is known. We never store your precise location and never sell it. Declining changes nothing: sharing, earning and withdrawing all work the same. You can revoke the permission at any time in your phone's settings, and deleting your account removes this along with the rest of your data.
8. Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active. After you delete your account we clear profile fields, wallet balances, devices, and sessions. The phone number remains on a deleted record so the same number cannot sign in again until support reactivates the account. Limited payout/security records may be retained where law requires.
9. Security
We use TLS in transit, hashed session tokens, access-controlled admin surfaces, and least-privilege service keys. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
10. Your rights & account deletion
You may access or update profile fields where available, log out, and delete your account:
- In the iPhone or Android app: Account → Delete account
- On the web dashboard after sign-in
- Web instructions: busyproxy.net/account-deletion
- Email support@busyproxy.net from a contact we can match to your account
Depending on your region you may also have rights to access, rectify, export, restrict, or object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise those rights.
11. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
12. International transfers
Servers and processors may be located outside your country. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
13. Changes
We may update this Policy and will post the new date on this page.
14. Contact
